Onsite Test Manager

Relevant Work Experience: at least 8 years in testing and QA and 2 years of experience as a Test Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a test team up to 25 people
• Reports to VP
• Gathering requirements, scheduling, resolving issues, and reporting status
• Working with offshore team to create test plan, test cases, document test results
• Deliver test cases and test results with quality on time to the customer.
• Mentor team and inculcate testing mindset, testing practices, and work closely with development teams.
• Working with the customer to derive acceptance criteria, testing standards, automation criteria, automation scripting standards etc.
• Review code/documents of team members and provide appropriate guidance to improve quality over time.
• Assign tasks and monitoring progress
• Preparing metrics for projects/team
• Review performance of team members

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing multiple test teams
• Ability to estimate work efforts and allocate tasks to team members
• Ability to track project progress and effectively report status on a regular basis
• Must have proven familiarity with various testing phases and methodologies.
• Must be able to write test plans, test cases
• 3 Years of experience in Manual Testing
• 3 Years of experience in Automation Testing and Build Verification Testing
• Strong Web App testing experience
• Excellent problem solving and strong communication skills.
• Must have knowledge of C# and one automation scripting language.
• Knowledge of Internet related technologies and web services; and testing complex internet applications and web services, esp J2EE is required.

Nice-To-Have's

• Experience in writing automation scripts using Selenium or Rational Robot is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures and XML is a plus.
• Knowledge of Online Travel domain is a plus
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance concepts a plus
• Experience as a developer earlier in the career is a plus.
