Software Engineer, Applications

Location: NYC, NY

Summary:

Develop new features for both server-side technology (Java) and client-side technology (Excel/VBA) regarding spreadsheet-to-web technical product (XL2Web). Enhance existing product to meet client requirements. Respond to client inquiries, including problem tracking, problem analysis, solution analysis and implementation. Work closely with clients to implement new product features. Integrate product with other internal client applications, functions and data. Interact with team of 3 China-based developers, New York-based senior architect and Product Manager, on daily basis in distributed delivery model. Conduct demos for new clients.

Requirements:

Bach. in CS/CE or related PLUS two (2) years experience in software engineering or Java development.  Experience must include: 

• Java development
  
• VB programming
  
• Linux operating system (OS)
  
• Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience
